Paseo de Gualupita

Cada año cerca del 12 de Diciembre (Día de la Virgen de Guadalupe en México) se hace en Gualupita el paseo de la Virgen, que es un desfile en el que se pasea a la figura de la Virgen de Guadalupe antes de regresarla a la iglesia. En este desfile se presentan bailes, personas disfrazadas y carros alegóricos; los participantes suelen regalar cosas y dulces a las personas que disfrutan del paseo.

Every year around December 12 (the day we celebrate Guadalupe Virgin in Mexico) there is a parade in a town called Gualupita. In that parade people take out the image of the Guadalupe Virgin and then return it to the church. During the parade, the participants give stuff and candy to the people who is watching. That day you can see disguised people, traditional dances and floats.
